Scheduling, clients and travel

The appointment, the client and the property in one place.

An inspection file always starts with a call and an appointment. If the calendar lives in one tool and the file in another, you type the same details twice and get them wrong one time in ten.

The calendar

  • Built-in calendar where every appointment belongs to its inspection file.
  • Two-way Google Calendar sync: what you enter in Habita appears in your personal calendar, and the reverse.
  • A default inspection duration, adjustable, so the time block is right the first time.
  • Your availability, visible at the moment of booking.

Client records

  • Contact directory with types: client, agent, referrer.
  • Two addresses per file, kept apart: the client's home and the building being inspected. Same person, different address, and confusing the two puts the wrong address on the report.
  • Phone numbers normalised to the same format everywhere.
  • History of the files attached to the contact.

The property, before you drive there

  • Interactive Street View inside the file, to recognise the house and spot the access.
  • Distance and driving time computed from your business address.
  • Property type, year of construction and building details entered once.

Street View is not a gadget. Knowing before you leave that a house has three storeys on a sloped lot changes which ladder goes in the truck.

The emails your clients receive

The transactional messages sent to your clients carry your voice, not ours. Each template opens, edits and previews before being saved, with variables that fill in the name, the address and the date.

  • Six customisable email templates covering the key moments of a file.
  • Available variables, a preview with sample data, and a one-click return to the original text.

The point is not cosmetic. A transactional email that sounds like software gets treated like software: skimmed, not answered. The same message in your voice gets replies, and it is often the one that triggers the signature or the payment.

FAQ

Does the Google Calendar sync work both ways?

Yes. An appointment created in Habita appears in your Google calendar, and an event created in Google is reflected in Habita, so you never double-book an hour.

Why two addresses per file?

Because the client rarely lives in the house being inspected. Habita separates their home address, which goes on the invoice, from the inspected building's address, which goes on the report.

Can I customise the emails my clients receive?

Yes, the six templates are editable in your settings, with a preview before saving and a return to the original text if you change your mind.
